The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced the execution of a qualitative security operation that led to the dismantling of a network specialized in counterfeiting license plates and forging official vehicle registration documents (sanawiyat), along with the arrest of all its members.
The operation was conducted following precise intelligence efforts and thorough investigations that led security forces to locate and raid the workshop used for the forgery operations. The raid resulted in the arrest of the prime suspect and all accomplices, as well as the seizure of large quantities of forged license plates, illegal documents, and reflective stickers.
Competent authorities confirmed that the suspects gave full confessions regarding the charges brought against them, and their statements were judicially ratified—a step reflecting the security apparatus's firmness in combating fraud and safeguarding official records.
