The Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Mr. Haibat Al-Halbousi, received the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Badr Ahmed Abdelatty, in a meeting that focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and develop mechanisms for joint cooperation between the two countries across various levels, including parliamentary cooperation.
The meeting saw a mutual emphasis on the importance of aligning visions and coordinating positions in regional and international forums regarding issues of common interest. The discussions also addressed the vital role of the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), stressing the need to intensify joint efforts to support pathways toward stability and peace in the region.
